Rothenburg

Wow!  If a baker's bread wasn't the right weight during the Middle Ages, he would get dunked in the river in this contraption!

The Rothenburg gardens are beautiful.

I know I'll sleep good tonight after walking the wall around Rothenburg.

Bad Windsheim

We settled into our gasthaus.  Here's the view of the street below us.  The flowers here are huge!

Munich

Wow, Munich is an exciting city.  I want to come back here again!

Salzburg

The gardens go on and on here, and the colors are so vibrant - even on an overcast day.

Salzburg, the city of Mozart!  I found a piano and played a little tune to amuse the shoppers, but it was so noisy that I don't think they heard little old me.

Hallstatt

This is where we had our lunch one day.  Isn't it beautiful?

Here I am on the upper road in Hallstatt.  We are at the church overlooking the city.  I could stay here forever!

My little legs are tired after the walk up to the salt mines.  I also was able to look out ovr the area from the viewing deck....but I was really scared to get too close to the edge.

Nurnberg, Germany

Today I wandered around the beautiful city of Nurnberg.  I saw St. Lorenz Church and had bratwurst with sauerkraut.  I turned the ring so I know I'll be back.

Buckingham Palace, London England

Got to see buckingham palace today, and finished off the day with tea and cannolis!  I think I want to work at the palace.

Westminster Abbey, London England

I saw a beautiful Evensong service tonight at Westmnster Abbey.  The sounds in that huge cathedral amazed my little ears!

Later I tried to get a picture of Big Ben, but the buses were in my way.  This is a very busy city.

A highlight of the day was eating fish n chips!

London Tube

Made it to London.  We walked ALL day and this little guy is tired so I'll post a photo of me and the sights tomorrow.

Detroit National Airport

Wow!  Lots to see here at the Detroit Airport.  People everywhere - I need to be careful.  And guess what inflight movie was showing!  

Falling to Pieces

Preparing for my first adventure on my new blog and I fell to pieces last night!  I printed out my tickets twice, and decided to go online and check my itinerary one more time.  Our flight was changed from Monday to Wednesday!  WHAT??!!  Many phone calls later, we got it resolved.  But, we won't be happy until we're on that plane.
